Wedding Ceremony

from: Denise Duncan

Weddings are essentially a celebration of a solemn union of two souls who have decided to embark on spending their lives together – hopefully in marital bliss. A lot of couples nowadays spend so much time planning the perfect reception and every other detail, and entirely forgetting about the most important aspect of all – the wedding ceremony. Since it is basically the primary reason for throwing a fabulous party, it should be in its own given due attention. Keep in mind that the wedding ceremony legitimizes the joining of the couple as man and wife, and everything else should be treated as an add-on.

Since most of anxious brides-to-be have no experience in planning a wedding, the prospect of taking the full plunge may be a little too daunting. However, with an exercise of diligence and a flair or organization, one can certainly pull it off like any other woman who is so keen on realizing the wedding she has been dreaming about since age four. So its time to flex those creative muscles and get down to real business – the making of your dream wedding.

So the first thing to consider in planning a wedding ceremony is of course the exact choose you choose to exchange marital vows – whether in the traditional church setting, beaches, parks, museums or a garden wedding you have always envisioned to have. When choosing officiant, be sure to schedule an appointment and discuss your ideas on your big day. Don’t hesitate on getting across on how you want it to be, after all it’s your wedding so take full control as necessary. You need to know if there are any wedding ceremony requirements and fees involved as well as any ceremony restrictions, if there are any? To potentially avoid frazzled nerves, ask the officiant’s schedule and determine when would he be conveniently available for rehearsals. Otherwise, you will find yourself running to and from like a headless chicken in sheer panic.

While most people would want to stick to the age-old rituals of matrimony, you can’t deny the fact that it is still very much your wedding. A compromise of some sort can be reached to allow you to inject your own creativeness and at the same time keep it solemn and meaningful. There are hundred and one ways to add your personal touch in your own wedding ceremony, like walking down the aisle with both parents instead of just your father. You can even bring along your adorable pet if you want to. If your closes buddy is a guy, why stick with having a maid of honor, when you can have man of honor instead? This might seem quite unorthodox to some, but are definitely sensible ideas. So make you wedding ceremony your own and not settle on copying the traditional ones. It will certainly be a welcome change for you and your guests and a event worth reminiscing.
